A
versatile input device that allows for precise control of movement in two
dimensions. Ideal for robotics, gaming, and interactive projects, providing
intuitive directional control with an easy-to-use interface.
Description
The Joystick Module is
a high-quality, dual-axis joystick capable of sensing movements in two
directions (X and Y axes). It also includes a built-in switch, activated by
pressing down on the stick, similar to a gaming controller.
Features
Dual-Axis Control: Directional movements are sensed through
two 10k potentiometers—one for each axis—allowing control over both the X
and Y coordinates.
Switch Functionality: Pressing down on the "hat"
activates an additional switch.
Output Range: When powered with 5V, the module outputs an analog value of
around 2.5V at rest, increasing to 5V in one direction and decreasing to
0V in the opposite direction.
High-Quality Components: Features original SONY PS2 gamepad metal
rocker potentiometers, delivering precise and reliable performance.
Functionality
The joystick’s X and Y axes
generate analog signals, controlling 2D movement. By reading analog input, this
module translates the joystick’s position into values that can be used to guide
objects in two-dimensional space, such as robotic controls or servos.
Applications of
Joystick Modules
Gaming: The joystick is frequently used in video games for character
movement and object control.
Camera Pan/Tilt Control: Ideal for adjusting cameras in DIY
projects.
Robotics: Enables intuitive control over robot direction and movement.
DIY Projects: Commonly used in various DIY and hobby electronics projects.
