Description
The LM317 is an
adjustable three-terminal positive voltage regulator capable of delivering up
to 1.5A of output current over a voltage range of 1.25V to 37V. It requires
only two external resistors to set the desired output voltage. The device
provides excellent line and load regulation, with a typical line regulation of
0.01% and load regulation of 0.1%. Additionally, it features built-in overload
protection, thermal shutdown, and short-circuit current limiting, ensuring
reliable operation even if the ADJUST terminal is disconnected.
